Waddah Hago is an entrepreneur with a civil engineering background. He gained multi-disciplinary skills working in several consultancy and engineering firms in Sudan, serving major infrastructural and Agricultural projects. In addition to Sudan Waddah worked in several countries in Africa, such as Ethiopia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda and others.
With a focus on GIS and utilization of remote sensing data, he pioneered in the utilization of drone technology in the fields of agriculture and water resources management in Sudan. Developing workflows and procedural pipelines from field collection to data processing and interpretation of results.
Waddah owns a startup that provide services to small and medium scale farmers, focused on two key-areas which found to directly affect crop yields and boost revenue. First: crop monitoring and Crop Spraying using agricultural drones. And second: land development; starting with topographical survey to irrigation and drainage design utilizing AI based optimization techniques.
